Comment:

I recently got an old pc and started to fix it up and noticed it contained a video card.

The card is:

ATI Technologies, Inc 3D RAGE PRO AGP 2X

I went looking for a driver update on the ATI website but it seems it does not have any for this particular card model.

I also went to driverguide.com but there are so many drivers I am unsure which to download

Can anyone help me?

XP should pick up the card and use the included Drivers in its driver package, have you checked Device Manager to see what it has installed ?

this is the current driver version listed on the card when I checked the device manager.

driver version: 5.1.2001.0

Using Device Manager, Belarc Advisor and Everest home edition they have told me the card name is 3D RAGE PRO AGP 2X

On the card there is a number in white writing with the following:

PN 109-49800-11 (I am guessing this is the part number of the card)

I did a search of the part number and found some image of the card I have but name of the card but the website is calling the card ATI 109-49800-10 AGP Video Card 3D Rage Pro Turbo.

This sort of confused me because my system is saying its called 3D RAGE PRO AGP 2X

http://www.recycledgoods.com/zoom.a...

On the ATI website there is a section for legacy drivers but it says ati rage pro:

http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/...

However I am unsure if I should download this driver. What would do you think?

What I meant does device manager correctly identify that it is an ATi Card ? if so you do not need a driver.

don´t worry about the name that windows says to ur card. the secret is that 3D RAGE PRO AGP 2X is not a single card but a family of ati video cards sharing the same drivers package.

as long as ur card if functioning correctly and u can get the maximum resolution the card allows u don´t have to get any new driver.

I have an ATI All in wonder working with that driver and everything works excellent including the TV Tuner.
