I have a friend who is looking for a website to download a 256 color driver.

He has a Dell Dimension 8250, Windows XP Home Version 2002 service pack 2.

Any ideas would be helpful.
Thank you
Bryan

I assume that he/she is unable to change the screen resolution/colours??? He/she will need to find the manufacturer of the system video card and then install the drivers for that specific card. Does he/she know the make of video card??

Ooooops!!! Should have read more closely!

The Dell site should have the drivers for the Dimension 8250 card!

He wants to install this driver to run an old program, his video card is a 64MB GeForce MX Graphics Card with TV-Out.
I look and did search on dells web sight with no luck.

I dont even know if this would be a smart thing to do to install this driver on this Dell computer with windows XP

In Windows XP, right click on the programme that he wants to run in 256, click properties, then the compatability tab, check the run in 256 colours box box.

Click Apply, run the programme.

I don't see why it needs a new driver. It should just run an up to date one...

For Geforce MX drivers, go here : http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_77.72.html
