paragraphs describe method to calculate the time Word was launched on a 1994 computer.
1) does paragraph 99 mean that Word launched automatically 44 seconds after poweron? 2). can you see how the 31 hours and 32 minutes in paragraph 103 was calculated? 3) is it possible that all of the 6 minutes between times 14:16 and 14:22 were used for the filesaving keystroke process?

1.) Perhaps, but it seems to me to mean that the .Tmp file was created 44 seconds after the logged system startup time.
2.) The calculation is (on 20 June) 24h 00m minus 06h 44m which equals 17h 16m plus (on 21 June) 14h 16m giving a total of 31hours 32mins. In the 24-hour clock 0644 is 44 minutes after 6am and 1416 is sixteen minutes after 2pm.
3.) According to the report (para 104) other operations were carried out "A number of operations were performed during the six minute period between 14.16 and 14.22, apart from the saving operation. The timing of the various operations within that six minute period was not, however, recorded."
Mr. Bain is on a knife edge..

Thanks, Garibaldi.
The document says 14:16 was time of the start of the save process, but wouldn't Cox have been able to know on which, specific keystroke the message.doc file was saved?
(and to check Officer Anderson's watch, or Cox's own watch, at the exact time of that specific keystroke?)

Possibly but it appears the two investigators concerned only checked the times on their own watches the accuracy of which could be questioned.
