Can anyone help me to install both MS-DOS 6.2 and Widnows 98 on the same hard disk? I want to be able to dual boot.

Hi,
1. First of all you need FAT16 partition on your drive to be able dual boot Win98 with DOS 6.22. If you already convert to FAT32 dual boot with DOS 6.22 wil be impossible.
2. The simplest way is to install DOS 6.22 and then install Win98 over it. Win98 been installed over DOS 6.22 in FAT16 partition automatically creates dual boot.
Good luck, Igor

I can see no usefull perpose in Dual Booting
MS-DOS 6.2 & Windows 98. Win98 has its own version of MS-DOS (7.10) that can do all that MS-DOS 6.2 can! (Go on, tell me that such & such a file is missing! - Make my day)All missing files can be found in a Microsoft Download OLDDOS.exe available from MS or at www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk

Igor is on the right track. FAT16 hard drive, setup DOS 6.2 first, then setup Win98 making sure you select the prompt that enables you to boot using your previous operating system. Naturally, refuse any attempts to run the FAT converter to change your FAT16 to FAT32.
BIG RED, you don't realize that for DOS, DOS 6.22 is the best. 7.1 was designed for Windows 98, not for the old DOS applications that some of us still like to run. There are many people who still enjoy running older software, myself included, and DOS 6.22 is the ultimate version.

Dear Sir's
I need to Donload the MS-DOS 6.2 as a disks Please Help me as soon as possible
your cooperation and understanding is highly apprecaited.
Ocean,

What if win98 is already on my computer?
After a brakedown i reinstalled win98 and changed the msdos.sys etc. But win98 still cannot find the pre.DOSversion!
HELP !
