CPU/Ram: pentium 2

i am not great with computers so i have lots of probs with them! my most recent one was the computer said that i had a stacks overflow and when i went into dos editor to fix the prob my config.sys file was non existant does anyone have the orignal windows 98 config.sys file? HELP!!!!

you don't have a config.bak on your system? or a config.1st??

Look on your Cd also.

Not needed by Windows, it's a DOS legacy and (mainly) only useful for configuring your system for a DOS start.

Far more likely you need to insert a line into system.ini:

There Are No Spare Stack Pages:

In the [386Enh] section, type the following line:

MinSPs=4

At any rate, it's preferable to ask Windows questions in the appropriate Windows forum - - honest
