You should really ask about that in the Win2K forum - it's pretty much 'DOS only' here (like the sign says)

The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing..if you can fake that, you've got it made.

NO, it will not work you first need to make sure the available DOS drivers will recognize the CD Drive.

If that is successful you need to install a minimal DOS installation on the C: drive, and also copy over the contents of the W2K CD to a folder on the hard drive, upon rebooting you will be at the C:\_ and the W2K FORUM should be able to take you further, but please be aware this will list a Dual Boot scenario.

1) SYSing the hard drive from a W98SE OEM Boot Disk will suffice providing the boot disk also can install the USB Drivers

2) If you achieved 1) then try:

md temp and press enter
xcopy /s *.* and press enter

3) At reboot you will be presented with C:\_ MSDOS Command Prompt where you will need to navigate to the "temp" directory

btw I added a post which states WXP to the W2K forum but the basics are the same in W2K.
