win2000 dos command output to variable

Hi
I want to get the IP-address of ping or nslookup into a variable.
I have done this:
ping -n 1 %CNAME% | find /i "reply"
but i cannot get it in to a variable, i only want the ip address not the reply thingy.
plz help
