Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I am using invisible LAN between 4 PC,s.
One pc is running Win95, no problem, one is running Win98SE, no problem, one is running DOS 6.22, no problem. The last one is booting under Win98 DOS, big problem!!. The share.exe command won't work under this DOS level, aaarrrggghhh. I've tried making a 0 byte replacement file but Invisible LAN requires it for the DOS version. Why don't I just boot in to windows and run the Win version of Invisible LAN? Well win98 is not actually installed. The PC is used to control a CNC laser uses it's own software, which will only run in Win98 DOS. I know I could run a DOS window in 98 but I don’t want to run in to stability problems.
Can any one suggest an alternative to invisible LAN? I’ve tried Microsoft Network Client for MS-DOS, but I need to look at the DOS machines from the windows machines, so that’s no good unless anyone knows of a way to bolt on a server option in dos.
Please help I’m getting desperate!!

I am doing the same thing here at my company.
I am using 3 dos machines that are connected to a 2k server and they pick up the cnc file from the server. Why dont you start a share on your server and map the dos machines to that location. Also i know that there is a way to having share folders on the dos machine as well. is that what you mean by bolting a server in the dos?

I'm thinking of doing that map a drive on a server machine. I don't really want to go dowm that road though as the operators are not very hot when it comes to dos.
I need to add sharing to the dos machines without using the SHARE.exe command.
