Probably "CD MYDIR~1", I guess. However, that name may be different. Enter the command "dir/ad/p" on the command prompt to get a list of the subdirectories on the current directory, you'll probably find the right name.

That is if you're really on Dos6.22, which simply doesn't support names with spaces (unless you do something about it). 'Cause if you're under windows, just do:

cd "my dir"

But that won't work on DOS real mode.

Try just typing a basic DIR command to see what the short file/directory name is. If it comes up as MYDIR~1 that is it!

I take it your trying to access a Windows 9x file system under MS-DOS 6.22?

If the sub-dir name is eight characters or less with the space, just omit the space in the cd command. ie; to change to My Dir, simply enter;

cd mydir

If it's more than eight characters, drop any spaces and use the tilde 1 in it at characters 7 & 8. ie; to change to My Directory, you'd type;

cd mydire~1
