Comment:

On some old computer (pentium 133, 8MB), there is intension to put one DOS program which function is to note all changes which cames from serial, com port (com1) to a file. But, I want beside this program, to put another, some MP3 player which music goes to audio card.
Yes, that is for a small cellular phone station.
Music - when hold is on. (Instead of CD players).

I made this with windows, but this is pretty unstable. Windows, rebboting after powers down, scandisk, fixing files, etc. and com ports. (and my opinion is that windows (even 95) is to much "havy" for only this two jobs.

So, I think mabe someone have some expiriance with TSX (lite) or 32, or simply give me some suggestion how to make this.
(For TSX http://www.sandh.com)

Limitations are: DOS program, MP3 player (DOS) with repeat (shuffle) options, stable and property RS232 com ports working. (Multitasking?)

Thanx.

As to O/S well would not know, but what about OS/2 Warp3? it has MSDOS compatibility, as well as offering lots of features and not Micro$oft!

As to a DOS MP3 Player what about MPXPLAY, still being updated:
