How do I go about finding out what version of DOS my computer has on it? I reformatted the hard drive and re-installed Windows 3.1 and when I boot it up it tells me that I am running a version of DOS that is incompatable with this version of Windows. PLEASE HELP!

Type "ver" at the command prompt.

Type Ver [ENTER] at the DOS prompt. You would have had to install some version of DOS in order to install Win 3.1-Maybe your DOS disks were corrupted. Dr-DOS 7.03 is compatible with Win 3.1.
