Hello,

My os is windows98 se. I can view different languages very well. However recently I found some useful programs in Arabic. But when i run them, characters simply don't appear.
I searched over the net and these forums, yet no solutions. I did find on computing.net an article about the file "MS DOS arabic support". The link didn't work and nowhere on internet i could find the file.

If you can provide the link or a solution please inform me.AND ALSO ALERT ME.

thank you very much

hello,

i think you've misunderstood my question.
I want to be able to view arabic in MS-DOS, and not in windows. There are some MS-DOS arabic programs that i cannot run. It's not for internet.

Thank You.

There seems to be lotsa info on the WWW (searched on "Arabic and dos"). Seems likely you will need a third-party interpreter program to display the Arabic symbols.

Good luck

Hello someoneincanada

I just did a WWW search on "dos and arabic" and came up with 250,000+ sites which mention the two words. Here's one specifically for Dos 6.22 but there is mention of getting the special Arabic version of Dos!! Where you could get that is outside my level of knowledge. Wengier???

Please read the remarks given for Codepage 864.

Good luck with your search
