Comment:

I have a Creative Vibra128 PCI soundcard and I want to configure it so it will work when I boot the system with a DOS diskette.
What should I do?? there are no DOS drivers for this soundcard.

Thanks,Hatsil

There *is* DOS driver for your PCI sound card. You should be able to find it from a google search.

Hi, a quick visit to www.driverguide.com has
led me to `sb128dos.ZIP' and there may be
more as i've seen mention of `SB-V-DOS.ZIP'
for a model `CT-4810', i think... A swift
check for it on Google, AllTheWeb/FTP and
Yahoo didn't help but it's possible i wasn't
using the magic words. Good luck anyway. :)
Oh, about DOS & W2K-SP4, MS-DOS v7.10a (W98)
is a perfect complement if you can have two
bootable partitions, but it's a long install.

For Win98, it is a long install; but for MS-DOS 7.10, it is a very short install. Please note that DOS and Windows are different! More information is available from:

Yes Wengier, W98 means a long install and
MS-DOS 7.10a a short one indeed but i had
no choice to launch W98 in order to install
W2K from it when i tried. A bootable CD-R
drive should have helped, i guess, but i
don't recall if it was configured as such
or not. I wouldn't mind to verify this by
trying again but the CD-R on my present PC
(T6600C + SCSI Matsus---a-Kotobuki CR-504B)
isn't bootable - unless you got a hint? ;^)
