I have a Toshiba Portege 3025CT,& have been stuck in DOS until I finally figured out how to edit my config.sys,& autoexec.bat, system is win98SE, wouldn't do anything but boot in DOS, no exit,now when I type WIN,I get VFAT device initialization failed:A DEVICE OR RESOURCE IS NOT PRESENT OR UNAVAILABLE FAT CAN'T CONTINUE LOADING. SYSTEM HALTED. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY FAT IS SUCH A BIG PROBLEM, AND WHERE IS MY DEVICE? I AM DESPERATE!

VFAT= Virtual File Allocation Table, or in laymans terms: your whole damn file system. Backup what you can from DOS. Format and start over.
