Comment: Update 10/17/02 to older messages posted in forum 9874 - I'm happy to report that Norton Ghost 2003 resolves several issues for external USB drives and DOS: [1] It includes drivers for external USB - no DUSE required. [2] It has been enhanced to directly support NTFS, so I can make my external USB hard drive one large NTFS drive. [3] They have added support for creating image files direct to a mapped share on a network server. Any questions please send an e-mail and I'll be glad to respond.

Reply: (edit)I don't have Ghost but, have DUSE. My machine crashed and I am trying to save some data. I can boot using a DOS boot disk but, I can't seem to get DUSE to work. System hangs. Any info would be great. System is a Compaq 5000, DVD rom and NEC read/write rom (IDE). Thanks in advance, Keith

Reply: (edit)what kind of cd-rom is it? Sony? addonix? backpack? if I knew, I might be able to point you at a driver I just got a z-note mx myself. I solved the problem by using a pcmcia nic, a dos network client boot disk, and connected to my desktop machine.
