I am trying to install a new USB printer (HP OfficeJet) on this pc but the system does not recognize printer when attached to the usb port. The software for the printer loads but nothing else works...the computer does not see the printer.
When I try to add the printer and go the "have disk" nothing comes up in the box. Is it a bad usb port or does it needs to be upgrades...this is a Toshiba desktop.

Thanks for the help!

Ken

i have had this problem before. If it's windows 98 first edition your using then i recommend you upgrade to windows 98 second edition or above. Windows 98 first edition has always had problems with USB devices.
