In a word, NO. Unless the manufacturer of the mouse provides USB support, forget it.

I have a Microsoft USB IntelliMouse, and it came with a USB to PS/2 Adaptor. When I use the adaptor I can run it with a DOS Driver, But not when it is plugged into the USB port.
At least I still have the option, if nothing else.
Try looking for a USB/PS2 adaptor.

For your USB keyboard or mouse to work with MS-DOS-based utilities and non-Windows* modes, your computer must have USB Legacy Support enabled in the BIOS. USB Legacy Support allows the BIOS to interact with a USB keyboard, and in limited cases, a USB mouse.

Summary: I have recently purchased a Microsoft optical USB mouse for browsing in win98. I can't however use it when I decide to work in DOS raw mode. Can anyone tell me where I might find drivers for my mouse ...
