greetings,i want to use my external usb cd-rw to install a windows os.I'm trying to access the usb cd drive on DOS but i am having some problems heres what ive done so far
in a bootable disk i have


[config.sys]
device=USBASPI.SYS /w /v /r
device=USBCD.SYS /d:USBCD001

and in AUTOEXEC.BAT:

MSCDEX /d:USBCD001

results: my sony cd-rw is recognized and the driver is installed but then i get
A:\>MSCDEX/d:USBCD001
Bad command or file name

Is mscdex.exe on the floppy? 'Bad command or filename' indicates that the file can't be found, or has been misspelled. Try leaving a space between the command and its parameters:

MSCDEX /d:USBCD001

i downloaded MSCDEX.exe to the floppy.Problem solved.Thank you very much.
