OS: dos
CPU/Ram: intel core2/1g
Product: asus P5B-Plus
Comment:

I cannot get usb drives to be recognized. (it will see flash drives ok)
I have tried every usb driver I could find and the only one that sees the usb is usbaspi.sys. I have several, even the newest one will not initialize usb 2.0. I am sure it is because of the chip set (P965+ICH8R)Asus P5B-Plus motherboard.
When usbapsi is loading I have to turn off echi or computor hangs, with it turned off it sees the uhci and at the end it sends a message ERROR: target usb device not found

When di1000dd.sys is loading it sends a message Available ID: not found installable device
After it finishes booting I can try to access the usb HD and it sees it but returns the message "access denied" when I do a DIR

Any sugestions??

... if I need to access anything on boot-up
these days those PE discs are pretty dam good.
Linux always seems to find the drives
what ever the chip set.
