USB Driver for Dos Mode

Hi,

When ever I reboot to Dos Mode I loss keyboard function (Microsoft Elite USB Keyboard). But my PS/2 keyboard still works fine. Any help???

DOS doesn't support USB devices. Even old Win95 and NT don't.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just goto the PS/2 port when In DOS mode. Sure wish they would develope a driver for USB DOS mode. Maybe it will be a future fix...

Sorry to burst your bubble but the word from microsoft is that DOS has no future! After 2000 windows will not piggyback DOS as dos will be copletely removed from the os.

Well I have another problem in this subject. I have a laptop with no internal CD and would like to be able to reinstall the system from my external usb-cd-player. The problem is obviously the computer canīt communicate with the cd when in dos mode. Anybody know how to handle this?

ok - i'm having trouble booting, have a USB kbd, and no other option for kbd input. i can't run setup as a result - so i am screwed unless i find a way around this . . . any ideas?

you need to check if you haven't got your floppy flatcable connected incorrectly red line outside.

Try going into your BIOS and enabling USB function, you can then type in DOS, but not once you get into the program
