I have an HP USB External CD writer.
I wish to use that in Dos Mode as a simple CDrom drive so i can access installation files.
Is it possible?
Please Help

sorry mark, but i beg to differ.

I have seen usb drivers for dos somewhere on this board, and they do work, although are generic.

you can use a cd-rom driver that allows you to specify i/o, and irq to mount a cd-drive on the usb bus (in theory)

although dos does not, in it's native mode, support usb - it can be done!

Check out the UBS DOS drivers on my site:

I recommend the Cypress Driver, it seems to work the best.
