I've heard someone mentioning a USB driver for DOS. Type: "USB driver" in the field at the very top of the page, and switch to DOS, then click Go Search. It's in here somewhere.

There are no USB drivers for DOS, unless explicitely supplied by the manufacturer of the USB device. Sorry. Your only option is to see if your PC's BIOS supports booting from a USB device (which it should if it doesn't have a built in floppy).

Hope that helps,
-Michael

I have recently found on my many wanderings a generic USB CD driver. Get it here:

http://ftp.pbnec.nl/support/itemnr/NECFIUP05190100.html

I have not tested it so I cannot vouch for it's functionality.

Good luck!

Guys,

I downloaded the USB_CD.SYS from ftp://ftp.pbnec.nl/pub/itemnr/NECFIUP05190100/ (Thanks to Michael and Kerry!) and tried to use it in CONFIG.SYS:
device=usb_sc.sys
There was an error message: [Invalid parameter]...
Could anyone please describe the parameters needed.
Thank you in advance.
BTW, how did you manage to navigate in this huge FTP side?
