Sandy McAfee when installed on a client system (e.g. Win9x) will add the following line into your c:\autoexec.bat file: C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\NETWOR~1\VIRUSS~1\40~1.XX\scan.exe C:\ @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE If you do not want the virusscan to scan during boot up you can simply place the "rem" command in front of this statement in autoexec.bat, however be forewarned this removes your virus protection during boot against boot sector & re-inpregnating viruses.
