I posted a problem on the windows 9* forum regarding a problem I have deleting recursive folders (see http://computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/150303.html). None of the possible solutions offered works, and it has been suggested that someone on the DOS forum may have some ideas about deleting in DOS (I've tried booting to DOS and using DELTREE).

Many thanks.

Here's a l-o-n-g shot solution. Use PKZIP in Dos to zip the directory and all sub directories and then delete the original. If (and it's a big if) it works then delete the .zip file.

Try: PKZIP -rP -m c:\temp\create.zip c:\programfiles\ridingstar

(The -rP and -m are case sensitive)

But first, I note that the folder is in "Program Files". have you tried the "Add/Remove Programs" facility??

Will appreciate you advising how you get on.

Good Luck

Use the Windows File Manager. Go to start, run, type in winfile.exe, hit enter. Then navigate to:
c:\Progra~1\Riding~1\
and hit the del key. HTH.
