Im trying to play one of my old dos games on my pc can anyone offer me any advice that doesn't involve removing windows xp.

DOSBox. I suggest you get a GUI frontend for it, though. I suggest D-Fend Reloaded.

DOSBox is a free DOS emulator specifically designed to run DOS era games. It's much easier to use than trying to dual-boot WinXP and DOS, and then dealing with the incompatibilities between modern hardware and 20 year old games.

This is not related to this forum,, XP is a different O/S to **-DOS entirely.

Anyway would advise to go down to a Dumpster and retreive a thrown out old PC and if it works install DR-DOS 7.xx, which is FREE for non commercial use.

There are many sites with old DOS Games available to download which you can play and enjoy.....
