Alrighty, just about to give up on this one, but thought I would give it one more try. I am attempting to run TCP/IP on ms-dos 5.0 I have scared up a genuine ms-dos workgroup add on which supports the netBEUI protocol. (lets you specify others, but they are not on the installation disks)Min system requirements are 8088 & 640k ram. This installs & works great. HOWEVER...
I am attempting to log onto a NT4 domain which only supports TCP/IP. As suggested, I created the network installation disks off of the NT server & deleted the existing ms-dos workgroup add on. This also went fine. HOWEVER...
When attempting to "log on" there is a error, it says "error. attempting to run 80286 code on a 8086" This is correct since I am running a 8086 cpu. So, back to square one & the question is....
"Can I get TCP/IP protocol add on for my ms-dos workgroup add on, which runs fine on my 8086 computer?"
If anyone has any further suggestions. please pass them along :)
