HI again I.T ppl :P
Well i tried to configured that driver for the cdrom, but no effects :(
According what u guys gave me , :
http://www.driverguide.com/uploads/uploads4/7592.html
I check it but , no good results.
Could some1 again plz explain step by step how to do it???
I explain again the problem:
I have an empty hard disk.( NO OS at all, no dos nothing), and the cdrom doesnt work, but i got the driver already downloaded from the internet. How could i install the drivers to be able to read files from the CDrom, after booting from a floppy disk in the empty hard disk...by the way i had created a C: drive which is empty.
I would like to install win95 in the C drive, but i need to read the CD-rom??
Any suggestion, thanx again?? step by step :P
bye.

Is your drive EIDE or SCSI compatible? Some old drives had their own standards that will not always be compatible.For EIDE use a boot disk that gives access to CD-ROM drive(Win98 is a good one)and install your OS. This boot disk has many different drivers for the CD-Rom drive.From there the OS should configure the drive easily.Win 95 will ask you if you have a CD-Rom drive.Don't forget that a partitioned HD must also be formated.Your C primary drive must be set active.Good luck.

Have a look at this thread.
http://computing.net/windows31/wwwboard/forum/8967.htmlJust down load a dos 6.22 bootdisk from bootdisk.com.
Add your cdrom driver to it.
Alter the config.sys and autoexec.bar files to suite.Boot off the disk.
Wammo you can access your cdrom.

CR-562 is not an IDE drive.
It is usually connected to the sound card.Rquires a driver like CDMKE.SYS. If you
can find the sound card install, it would be
the best since some require a port address.

Hi guys, well thanx guys for your tips, my last question is.....
I download the driver for this device which is : dos_**.exe.
I got a DOS bootdisk 6.0,
SHould i put that file in my floppy disk or somewhere else??, and how do i configure it in config.sys and autoexec.bat??
what path??
than again.

sorry :P the filename is 56*_dos.exe
what changes should i make in the conig.sys and autoexec.bat of my dos bootdisk floppy!.
thanx.

config.sys;
DEVICE=CDMKE.SYS /D:MSCD001autoexec.bat;
c:\dos\MSCDEX.exe /D:MSCD001 /M:10You may have to add parameters for the soundcard. ie;
[/SBP:nnn] ---> I/F board address option(Sound Blaster)
*[/P:nnn] ---> I/F board address option(Other)
if Sound Blaster board
ex.)DEVICE=CDMKE.SYS /D:MSCD000 /SBP:nnn
nnn==220, 240, 260 or 280(Default is 220)
Sound Blaster Pro(8bit) 220 or 240
Sound Blaster 16(16bit) 220, 240, 260 or 280
if MKE original or other board
ex.)DEVICE=CDMKE.SYS /D:MSCD000 /P:nnn
nnn==I/O base port address of interface board

HI
Hey penny, i dont have anything in my C; drive?
Why u typed C:dos\....
shouldnt i type: a:\MSCDEX...........
Sorry..i dont still get it??
thanx

Sorry, I forgot your drive is empty. Copy the files (cdmke.sys & mscdex.exe) to your boot floppy. (What are you using for a boot floppy?)
Then edit the config.sys and autoexec.bat files on the floppy to add;
config.sys;
DEVICE=a:\CDMKE.SYS /D:MSCD001autoexec.bat;
a:\MSCDEX.exe /D:MSCD001 /M:10Let us know how you made out.

Well DAN , i did not have any succsses :(
It always get stack in :Corpright...................
1991,1992,1993,...........

Hey DAN shouldnt i use the INSTALL program which comes after runnning the 56x_dos.exe???
tell me what is wrong plzz, or any1 else..thanx

Ok, penny
i did all that
Installed DOS, everything
change the config.sys and autoexec.bat?
But when i run the install.exe....
i dont get any options at all...why???
i supossed tio get three options?? didnt i?
and in the autoexec.bat, shoud i put any parameters to look for the driver of the sound card........
this ISA card, (sound card) is:
Acer MAgic S30 94374-1
