How do I put a password in my dos program when the computer starts up.

That depands on the MS/DR dos version. The only way I can think of is without knowing dos version is setup a BIOS password.

Start the PC and when the first things is displayed there should be a message saying press F1 or can be F2 or DEL key to enter the BIOS setup.

Then select Enter password. If more help required see the BIOS/CMOS manual.
