Hi, I'm setting up a dual boot system (DOS/Windows98) for my little brother to play his old DOS games. Everything is working great except I cannot find a DOS audio driver for the SoundMax AC97 AD1881 Integrated Audio. All I see are window drivers. Can anyone help? If there are no drivers available, I will get a PCI soundcard that has DOS drivers and use that instead :-( Thank you, Ben

Is there a setting in BIOS for Soundblaster compatibility mode????

The system is a Dell Optiplex GX110. I got it refurbished from compgeeks.com. I don't recall seeing any BIOS menu selection with options for soundcard compatibility mode. I'll go and check it again tonight. Thanks for the tips. Regards, Ben

Hi Linda, Thank you for your suggestion. I tried that drivers last night. The install program could not find the sound hardware. The soundcard works great in Windows though. On another note, I just did a research on DOS compatible PCI soundcards and see that there are very few nowadays that support DOS. I have oodles of DOS programs and will continue to use DOS in the future... hopefully with sound :-) Regards, Ben
