I have same card. Is C:\essolo.com listed in your autoexec file? Also set blaster info correct?

I opened "autoexec.bat" and "config.sys" both have the line c:essolo.com . but when I go and insert the line SETBLASTER = A220 I5 D1 T1 then when I reboot the line has changed to c:\essolo.com. My sound card is working except with playing sound from a dos gameI tried a combination of putting "rem" in the autoexec.bat for the line c:\essolo.com but no change. also tried different setting for the setblaster line, also no success. I also tried some thing I saw on this forum or another by renaming the files c:\essolo.com and config.sys that are on the root directory, also no success.. please help Thank YOU

I opened “sysedit” and I examined autoexec.bat and config.sys files both have the line c:\essolo.com.
I also tried to set the blaster…SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T1 when I rebooted the comuter win 98 replaces that line with another C:\essolo.com. I tried putting “rem” in front of the original c:\essolo.com and then tried to “rem” the other line on two different boot-ups but no success, I still can not hear any sound from my dos game. I even tried to rename the c:essolo.com and c:\config.sys on the root directory but no success. My sound card works fine with windows programs. Please help

ok - c:\essolo.com should be in autoexec only - there's a c:\essolo.sys for the config.sys file, but my card works without it, you could try adding that (and rem it if its no help like i did.)

Can't help you with set blaster info, not all systems are the same, go into device manager and see what your computer is using.

Also, I know what you,re talking about with that line getting rewritten automatically- i had to make my autoexec and config files both read only to stop that.

most DOS-Applications cannot be run under W2k with sound. For generic Emulation try soundfx2000 (www.softsystems.co.uk). It's prerequired to install the PCI Device under OS in order to use this emu. If there aren't any drivers, try to find an WDM Driver (98SE & 2000) or try to search for a chipset-compatible driver at terratec website.
