I have a compaq 566mhz 128mb, when i bought the system with 9 gig of hd and then I put linux on there and then i got rid of linux..and put XP...and now i only have 7 gig total...where's the rest of it? i even went to fdisk and that didnt work either.so please help me out

Try Linux install CD...
Start Linux installation, and when you get to partition work area, delete all of the linux partition(s) which are(is) Linux-Native(ext2), and save the change...
then use your windows 98/95 booting disk to reboot, and fdisk again...or you may start install XP from CD...

That's right. The Linux partition is invivible to FDISK. You either use the Linux FDISK or the one in DR-DOS. Or you could download WIPE.exe from the IBM website and erace everything on the drive and start over.
