Hi does anybody know about simple NMEA GPS monitor for DOS? It's only needed to read NMEA messages via serial port and display some interesting data on screen.

May I ask why?
What device does the software currently output to?
If this is a printer, which you intend replacing with a monitor, you need to consider scroll back/forward.
Have you looked at the many screens now on offer for automotive systems.

Thanks, but I googled some time before I ask here. Most of GPS software I found was for Windows and pocket PC not DOS.
I need only small program which shows latitude, longitude, satelite info and few other things on screen in text mode. I should be small, I want to run it on Atari Portfolio.

OK, I programmed it myself. Programming the serial port routine (polling mode) was not so hard as I though. Now I can monitor all important GPS data on screen of my pofo handheld (or PC)...

It's only 11kb (written in BC and packed). You can choose serial port number and baudrate. It should work on PC in pure DOS or on Atarai Portfolio.
