Hi, I have 4 machines connected to a hub. I want to connect a fifth machine running dos 6.22. I have installed the network card(which passes the diagnostics tests), but need to know how to set the network card driver up. I have copied all files under a net directory on one of the other maches to this one. when i run net start in the autoexec, I get an error about parameters. The network card disk has a mslanman.dos subdir with PROTOCOL.INI and RTSND.DOS files under ethernet driver subdir. How do I install these drivers?

Have a look at wown.com under windows 3.x. They have dos network client software etc.

Follow the instructions at www.wown.com. Download msclient disk 1 & 2 from ftp.microsoft.com/public. Install only netbeui protocol. The default is IPX. Make sure you remove this protocol. All windows machines on your lan should have file sharing enabled and netbeui protocol installed. After you have the dos machine connected you can experiment with the tcp/ip protocol. BTW you will be using the ndis dos drivers NOT mslansmann drivers.
