Setting Monitor Refresh rates in DOS

Hi. My monitor's default refresh rate is too low. When the computer is booting up, it's sort of flickering, but the situation is resolved once I enter Windows98, since you can adjust the refresh rate settings. How can I do this is DOS mode? I know that something has to be put in the autoexec.bat file... "Display=???", or something along those lines.

Both of my computers don't have this problem when booting up. I don't think you change the refresh rate of your monitor when your computer boots up. Your computer has to boot before it starts DOS and Win98. OR maybe your monitor is just #$%uc@a*k up!

Hi!
Try this to fix your problem: Download 'ZCLMODE.ZIP' from this location: 'http://www.filelibrary.com'. ZCLMODE is a small utility to configure refresh-rates for DOS.
