I know you can send messages to others on a network using net send. I want to write a batch file that simply displays a dialog message on my computer when run. Is there any command that works like net send but instead displays a message just on your computer?

Lee, Depending on what kind of dialog message you want run, you may not have to write a batch file. You could just type a message in wordpad, notepad, or MSWord, save the file, copy or move it to the start folder from the start button. Then everytime the comp is booted the message will pop up.
