Sec slave drive.........error message

I bought a new CD Rom drive after my last one stopped working. Now every time i turn on the computer it says something about no sec slave drive and i have to push F1 for the boot up to continue. This doesn't really bother me but i would like to know how to get rid of the message.

Andrew, check jumpers on new CDROM to see that it is correct as either master or slave depending on how you set it up. Then check BIOS and autodetect all IDE ports so that all devices are correctly assigned. Krystyna
