Hi, I have configured an old ibm thinkpad with dos 6.22 and some dos games for my 6 year old.
Sound is running.
But dos games are small on the screen it does not span the screen.
I've downloaded a tvga utility but it sais option 02H is not valid.
help. I would like the whole screen to be filled.
What model is the thinkpad? Old dos games sometimes had their own drivers for various video adaptes. Did you actually install the games from their original disks or just copy them from another source? Or there might be some IBM-supplied files if that was a common problem with their old thinkpads. Where did you get the TVGA utility?

Hi Jvd, Is the dos 6.22 o/s, the Thinkpad's only o/s, or is the dos running 'under' another os?
Good Luck - Keep us posted.
for starters, some specs would help. How old is 'old'? And what kind of graphics card/integated chip does it have? Depending on the type of the graphics card that is in the Thinkpad, it may not fill the screen.
My laptop, albeit rather new (2009), when running any kind of program with a lower resolution than the screen will not fill the screen. It keeps the aspect ration to prevent blur.
I'm not familiar with that system BUT if in your BioS it has something to change graphics card settings, look there. Look for settings that say 'Keep origonal aspect ratio' or 'Fill screen'.
