Comment:
I am trying to run Pascal-FC in DOS(5.0). It compiles correctly, but does not output, instead it gives me:
run-time error R6009 - not enough space for environment
This only happens when I run pascal-fc. If I use jdk, it works fine. Do I have to free some memory. If so how??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have run into that problem and forgot what the solution was. I THINK it meant I had some multitasking program running when the program required DOS only. But DOS 5.0, that can hardly be the problem.

I'm not sure what PASCAL FC is, but generally speaking, to increase the size of the DOS environment, you can add the following command to the start of your config.sys: shell=command.com /e:512 /p For even more space, substitute a larger number for the 512, such as 1024
