I'm not the smartest person when it comes to DOS so bear with me. I've heard that you can use DOS to restore deleted files, and that it can work better then using programs designed for restoring files. So can someone please tell me how I can find my way around dos and recover some of my deleted files? Thx

First thing to try is from the c:\> prompt, type

undelete /list [Enter]

That'll give you an idea of what you can recover.

Typing help undelete [Enter] will give you the syntax and examples of how to recover what you can.

Good luck
