Restore erased files?

Here is a good argument for DOS. Undelete comes with MS-DOS 6.00 and up. (It may have been in 5.0?) But it is not incluced in Windows DOS. I think you can just get the file, UNDELETE.exe and it will work in Windows. If not you can always use SETVER to use it.
