Restore Backed up files

I have a backed up files in 3 1/2 (there are in DOS backup ) disk, but when I try to restore them just appear the message "insert disk backup 01" then 2, 3, etc. however not restore at all.
what can i do? There are a special syntaxis or switch to restore the files?

Hi, If you are using dos 2 to 5. Restore drive1: drive2:
Example: restore a: C\mystuff\data.mnt
A: is the source C:\mystuff the destination and data.mnt is the file being restored.
In 6 and above use msbackup Example msbackup file-name.set The files should have a .set extension.
Most backup programs ask you to insert the first disk and the last disk to get all the resore information.
Hope this of some help. Knowing what version of dos and the extensions on the files would help give a better answer though.....=:)

I got similar problem. I have a big 1.7gig .QIC file backed up from 95 backup. Now I have installed NT on one drive, but would like to restore the .qic file onto another harddrive. But on NT, I don't find any software to restore the .qic file... Can you help please ? Thanks.
