Comment:

I am running Win NT 4.0 and have installed Serv Pack 5. I tried to install my Sis 6326 AGP 8mg drivers and believed they were not updated. I tired to get back into the control Display control panel but no matter what I do it will give me "Driver Loading Error".

I thought that I could go in to sys files and uninstall it but it didn't work or i missed a file? How can I remove it?

Thanks In Advance

You can't remove the Video driver via sys files!!!!

But you should have the option of booting into VGA mode when the NT loader comes up.....If you have set the timer to 0 as some do, you will not see this option.

So edit the boot.ini file (it is a read only) and change the timer count to say 5...and then select VGA and undo your damage.

Just as a matter of interest cause I had this happen with one of the students PCs, did you load the driver for the video before you loaded the service pack, if so you may be in for a hard time of it.

See NT needs service pack 3 or later to support AGP slots, and if you have loaded your driver before that (it won't work) but I have had problems getting it to accept the driver after installing the service pack......

Works fine if you load NT then the service pack then the driver...

Good luck
