Good afternoon, I have a compaq aero that originally came with Dos 6.2, I upgraded that to 6.22 but now I need to format the drive as I bought the aero used and would like to start "fresh".

The problem that I am running into is that now I cannot expand my dblspace files to remove them. The message screen says that I have the wrong version of Dos to work with the files.

Should I just format using the /u command or should I try to remove DOS 6.22 and then try to expand the files and then delete them?

If you don't need to save anything just fdisk and format.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

I backed up everything using MS backup and about 16 floppies.

So fdisk and format it is.

Thanks M2Go
