Hi All
I have two pc, one with xp pro, one with ms-dos.
this two pc works correctly in a tcp/ip network and each pc has an ip address assigned. Can I reboot ms-dos pc from my xp machine over network? (like shutdown.exe -m does between two xp computers)Thanks for any reply

There were third party dos commands--warmboot, coldboot and reboot--that would reboot an dos PC. A google search should turn up download sites. I don't know if they'd work across a network but I guess you could try it and see.

Create a batch file named REBOOT.BAT on the remote machine containing the following two lines:
echo HPS[Alt-203]>coldboot.com
coldboot
Notes:1) The "HPS" must be UPPERcase
2) The "[Alt-203]" means that while holding down the [Alt] key, type 203 on the keys on the numeric keypad (_not_ the keys at the top of the keyboard), and then release the [Alt] key. Doing so should produce ASCII character number 203 which looks something like a little double-line "T" character.
Now type:reboot
to launch your REBOOT.BAT file and the system should reboot, (a cold boot).

Is it possible to pick up the next command after the reboot in a batchfile, when using the reboot.bat in the same Batchfile?
