Im not sure if this is a dos or win 98 question. but im in dos at the moment. My computer was set up with NT4 and two 2G partitions. I want to install win 98. I have a bootup disk and have partitioned the 4G hard drive into halves. Now when I boot from a: and try to see dir on c: or d: I get ..."invalid media type reading drive c", and the same on drive d. All I want is to reformat with no partitions and a nice clean virus free drive. Please HELP!!!

Hi,
After partitioning the drive you need to format it. Boot from diskette and use
Format C: /S
and
Format D:
commands to format both halfs of your drive.
Good luck, Igor M

Need more info. Why can't you install Windows? Do you have a CD rom drive? Do you have a dos bootable cd rom diskette ? As mentioned above, you'll need to boot from a dos disk and use format c:/s to transfer system files so your C: drive is bootable.
