Hey guys.

I apologise if this question (or similar) has been asked
before. I looked at search but didnt help me. I have a 1TB
usb hard drive. It is in NTFS format. I need to get it into
FAT32 so my shiny new macbook can read/write from the
drive. Is this possible without losing any data? I have no
where to store the amount of data i have on it temporarily
while i format it. Can anyone help? cheers

Just FYI, this is completly DOS unrelated, but I'll help you anyway. You'll need Norton (used to be PowerQuest) Partition Magic, which is not free, but is the only good software I know that is able to do your conversion without data loss.

Is it MacOS X? Try "mount -t ntfs /dev/hda /mount/point"

replace /dev/hda with whatever it is for your hard disk and /mount/point with a mount point.
