Is there a way to record (in a file) DOS commands so I can later look at them later - commands during the FTP.
I'm getting strange errors (I don't know why they're popping up) after the FTP step of this process - I'm suspecting there is something wrong with the FTP part of it.

Thanks
Chris

Install Doskey, then you can recall commands made at the prompt.

at the prompt, yes, but not the commands typed into the program.
You could try piping all of the output like this:

ftp>log.txt

This will (hopefully) redirect the output from the program to the file log.txt which will then be viewable for your pleasure.
The disadvantage of this is that you can't see any of the error messages when actually running the program, and, you can't see what your'e typing either.

Furthermore, if you are talking about the ftp utility shipped with Windows 95/98, you should know that it's a Windows program. Piping does not always work in Windows, not anything else for that sake.

The above suggestions don't work. If you want to record the keystrokes you will need to get a DOS keylogger.

Click here to download KeyCopy. One of the oldest keyloggers around today. It's been around so long because it works so well.

scroll-it, shareware that allows you to save all dos output to a file. its quite good apart from the fact that you have to pay for it.
