Can all you gurus recommend a good hardware information / testing program for DOS? I have one but it isn't compatible with a lot of the newer hardware devices (agp and such). I have seen several around, but instead of wasting my time and trying them all I'd figure I would ask you guys first.

Thanks,
-Michael

If you can manage Windows for the testing platform, SiSoft Sandra is by far the best I've seen. It tests everything on a system pretty much. I used to have a DOS program for the same purpose...can't remember the name right now...but it'd be outdated as you were speaking about above.

Some old DOS programs I can remember (although Sisoft Sandra, as recommended by another user, is damn good for Windows platform):

QAPlus
AMIDiag (from the AMI BIOS people)
Norton SysInfo (came with Norton Utilities)
Manifest (came with Quarterdeck EMM)

Of these all, QAPlus and Sysinfo were best for Information+Testing area.
If you wanted pure information and (user-friendly) program, I recommend Manifest.

Between the two of these it pretty much covers everything:

hwinf475.zip

testv54.zip

SysDump is pretty good, you can download it on www.sysdump.cjb.net.
It is still Beta version, but will probably be better in future.
