I have an old dos game that I want to enter a cheat code. It tells me to edit the .exe file. But when I open the file, all I see are strange characters. What dos command do I use to convert these files so I can read them & thus edit them? Anybody know?

Thanks

The cheat probably requires that you modify some data tables in the EXE. Doing this without knowing what offsets they are located it is pretty futile and also fairly impossible. So, go onto some cheats site and see if you can find what you need to modify... then get yourself a free hexadecimal editor and do it.
