Working on this project proves my point, "NT" sucks!

I am looking for a way to create random filenames.

DIR > %random%.txt

I was able to get this to work on my 2000 machine, but not on any NT4 machines. How can I output info to a random filename in NT4 .... I know there is a wiz out there who can help me.

What about trying the NT forum? Windows 2000 and XP are NT updated by the way.

Below is a method to get a random number from 00 to 99 in Win2K:

@echo off
if "%1"=="ReCuRs" SET RANDOM=%3
if "%1"=="ReCuRs" GOTO EOF
call %0 %time%
:EOF
